For the past few years, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting the hatching chicks program.
The hatching chicks program has become a long standing tradition at Macquarie Childcare Centre and has given us the opportunity to give the children an insight into the life cycle of chickens from the day they hatched.
Each of the rooms had the chance to come into the foyer and observe the chicks in their eggs before they hatched while they were still in the incubator. The educators' spent time with the children explaining the hatching process and answering questions.
The best part was after the chicks had hatched, many of the children were able to have a cuddle.
We look forward to the next hatching chicks program in 2022.
