On 30/11/20 the toddlers celebrated Alec’s 3rd birthday with him.
The educators organised to make a cake with Alec and his peers assisted him too. Alec cracked the eggs into the cake mix and helped to mix it up.
When Nicola used the electric whisk, the toddlers covered their ears to block out the noise.
During afternoon group time we sang happy birthday to Alec and then enjoyed a yummy piece of cake for afternoon tea.
During this activity the children felt safe, secure, and supported (L/O 1.1) as they developed a sense of belonging to groups and communities and an understanding of the reciprocal rights and responsibilities necessary for active community participation (L/O 2.1).
